Full or part-time students, who are either members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community or allies.
Regular members must be either a sworn peace officer or retired member, as defined below:
An individual employed by a law enforcement agency and appointed as a peace officer, as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada.
An individual who served a minimum of 10 years as a sworn peace officer, who retired in good standing from a law enforcement agency, or, an individual who as a result of injury or illness, retired as a sworn peace officer.
Any of the following: Canada Border Services Agency, Correctional Service of Canada, Ecomm911 (and similar 911 dispatch centres), Fisheries and Oceans Canada Conservation & Protection Program, Indigenous Police Agency, Military Police, Municipal Police Agency, Provincial Conservation Agency, Provincial Corrections Agency, Provincial Police Agency, Provincial Sheriff Agency, Railway Police Agency, Regional Police Agency, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or any agency as approved by the Board.
Regular members have the opportunity to assist in community engagement events and school presentations. Out On Patrol recognizes the unique experience our regular members have as 2SLGBTQ+ officers. We provide a platform for our members to share those experiences with the community.

Regular members are considered "Voting members" under the society bylaws. This allows you to vote at AGMs and run for a position on the Board of Directors.

Although associate members are considered "Non voting members" under the society bylaws, there is the opportunity to run for the "Civilian Board Member" position. This member acts as the voice for the associate members and is considered a "Voting member" under the bylaws.

Honorary memberships are appointed at the discretion of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the society bylaws. These are lifetime memberships that do not require membership dues.
Honorary memberships may be offered to individuals who provide a significant contribution to the society. Honorary members are not required to be employed by a law enforcement agency.
Honorary members are welcome at most members-only events, and qualify for the discounted members rate for ticketed events.
Honorary members also receive access to the members area of the website.
